My Boa won't eat

Hello sSnakeSs Family,

I have a boa that won't eat. I have taken her to the vet and come to find out she had a respirator infection which she was treated for it. I have the right temp and humidity. She 6ft long and I'm starting to get really concerned. This have never happen before. I have been told that they will go up to 6 months without eating but I find it odd for her to do so after having her for 13 years.

Can anyone give me some advice as what to do?

Thanks,
Hasamu

Re: My Boa won't eat

Hi i hope i can help a little. what have you done so far? maybe trying my surjestions below may help? its worth a shot. i hope she will be ok.
Treat her for the R.I. is she on introveinous medication(s)? Just persistence and keep all temps and humidity at correct levels and frequently moniter her daily, several times would be best. is she in quarantine away from all other herps? if not you should do that.
keep daily checks on her wheezing and moniter mucous if she has that coming from her nostrils ext. when she seems a little better try again to feed her.
for now keep her warm and looked after. you can try to feed her in weekly intervals, to no avail if there's no sighn of improvident take her back to the vets. i can point you in the direction of a exotic spesherlist veterinarian if you like? were are you based? you can pm me if you like? if you are in the UK, i maybe able to point you in the rite direction depending were about you are.
i hope i have helped?
