I was told that retics were illegal to keep in florida but websites do ship them to florida. It's my dream snake since I was three. Are they illegal? Will they ship to fl? And should I get one? I have experince with larger boas

I don't know if they are illegal or not to own (I believe it's a permit system) but anyone can ship something to anywhere. It's up to the person receiving it to know their local laws.

Yes, I think it is a permit system. You'll have to check your county's ordinances to be sure though.

If you have the space and means to keep it properly then a retic will be a rewarding pet assuming you can handle a potentially 15ft+ snake.

Yup, you need a permit in FL to own them and they can't be imported into the state so you have to find a breeder down there.
