morph questions

Hi guys, I am new to bloods and short tails and I am hoping you could help me understand some things about morphs. I just got what was called a het granite borneo short tail. To me he seems to be displaying the granite trait ( i will get pictures up soon) but perhaps not as much as a true granite? Is this an incomplete dominance thing? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!!
