Australian tree snakes

first is a golden tree snake.



second is a red phase brown tree snake.


also a brown tree snake..northern veriety.



and the last is a blue phase green tree snake.

Are they venomous!?! I bet some of them might be, since they look outstandly great and i have never seen any of them on the market or even heard of them... How come?!? They dont look like hots... Are they rare even in the wild, hard to keep?

Well since there is an import and export law in Australia that makes it illigal to export any kind of animals out of Australia and import any not Australian animals in to the country you won't find these snakes on the legal market in Quebec....

Too bad for us but MUCH better for the snake!

There plenty of interesting species on the legal market!

Technically they are venomous, however the bite from these species, with the exception of the Brown Tree Snake would have no effect on humans except for a bit of blood. A Brown Tree Snake bite may have slight swelling or tenderness around the bite site.

In some areas of Australia these species are common. The Blue phase however is pretty rare in the wild. Common Tree Snakes feed on frogs and skinks in the wild, however in captivity they can usually be weaned onto rodents. Brown Tree Snakes will usually ake rodents with no problems.
