i was just wondering what are some of the causes that a savannah will suddenly become agressive. i got my save a month ago and he seems ok till yesterday when im going to feed him and he tail whack me and tried to bite me.
Sounds like it is finally starting to relax and become normal. It was probably scared sh_tless for that first month. Welcome to the world of young monitors, where you feed, clean and generally look after them but they are terrified of you and hate you in return! Don't worry, they change in time.
When I had my little guy he was a bit nuts and I was told to handle him like 5 times a week for 10 minutes, blah blah blah.
Personally I wouldnt touch him until he becomes brave enough to come up to you. Then you can start interacting with him as he wants not as you want. Just my opinion. My guy now is so calm and relaxed. Hisses a bit, but is ALL talk
