Scared of Snakes Stories
So, these can get pretty funny, and I love to hear other people's experiences, because they're... funny. xD
I wasn't always into snakes. In fact, like a lot of other people, I used to be petrified of them. Out of fascination, I started watching SnakeBytes on YouTube, and that show really helped me to understand them better. A year later, with the support of my boyfriend, I got my first corn snake! (Fluffy)
But, when I was a little kid we had a visitor crawl into our house. At the time, I was deathly afraid of snakes, and so was my mother. At the time, a juvenile black racer had made its way beneath the washer and dryer, and at the time, I only heard my mother scream. Apparently, it had been sitting right outside of the back door, and when she opened it, the snake quickly bolted inside for the nearest hiding spot.
It was just mom and myself, living alone at the time. I asked her what was wrong, and when she told me a snake had gotten into the house, that was a big, "NOPE!"
I was an awful kid. I shut the door to the laundry room, and stuffed the cracks beneath the door with towels. She had to fish out the snake from underneath the appliances with a broom, and I was sitting on top of the table, with my knees tucked up so it couldn't get me, lol.
The snake eventually got out. I think it took about an hour altogether.
So, does anyone else have any funny stories about either themselves or any friends who were at one time, scared of snakes?
