Re: Updated pics of my collection
What do you like about sand boas? A friend in finland wants a snake but doesnt want a big one and I hear these make great pets. What are the pros and cons and what do you think the level of care is on? Easy, med or hard?. I like these guys and their morphs are pretty. How big do they get? What are their personalities like?

Re: Updated pics of my collection
Kenyan Sand Boas, to me, are a perfect, smaller snake. They are easy to care for, do not take up a lot of room, they are for the most part docile, though i do have some breeder buddies who have some feisty ones!
Males top out about 15-18 inches, females around 30 inches, though i do know of one particularly large female at 36 inches and 1100 grams.
I keep mine on shredded aspen, with a hot spot temp of 95-97.
One of the cons is that babies can be difficult to get started on f/t prey, although i have not had an issue getting my two litters started immediately on f/t. If your friend does get one, make sure it is one that is well started, and already on f/t items
Oh, and Males can and will go off feed during breeding season...

Re: Updated pics of my collection
Ozzie is my favorite in your collection, but selene is beautiful too. Do you keep your little ones in a rack?
