Updated Photos of my Tegu

I've moved my tegu into another, smaller enclosure (the other one shattered on the bottom) until I've built his adult enclosure. I've also replaced his mulch with sand/soil/coconut. Here he is munching on some mice and then chilling.

Is he shedding? What's the humidity in there? He looks a little bit dry, but otherwise very good.

Re: Updated Photos of my Tegu

He's just coated in dirt. Lol I noticed he looked a bit dry but it was anything BUT dry in there.

Alessia, he was hatched in July and is almost 2 feet now.

Yeah, I can see it now that you pointed it out. It's also just in the first picture.

Re: Updated Photos of my Tegu

Not being a lizard person I didn't know they would bury them instead of eating them. Learned something new again, I love this forum.

Re: Updated Photos of my Tegu

He was likely just digging into other things and knocked them into a hole. I don't think he buried them on purpose.

I LOVE Tegus! They are soo cute. I'd like to own one some day, when I live somewhere with a little more room, lol.
