So i was holding my california king he happened to strike at my ring finger up to the second joint
this is him

i've owned him for about 3 weeks now this is the pic i took when i got him home the guy who previously owned him didn't take the best of care of him so he was a bit malnourished he's gaining weight bit by bit

That was not a defensive strike, that was a feeding attempt.

i thought it was most likely a feeding attempt and more or less the bite made me laugh he's eatin since the incident

Glad to see you're taking care of'em! But no more fingers...you'll run out ; )

What'cha feedin him to get him back up to snuff? May have been dehydrated too. You can take a needle and inject purified water under the skin of the prey item to get him to have more water, if you think he needs it.
