Looks like you're making good progress, although he still has the typical baby carpet pose going on.

Thanks. I like it better than Recoil.
Dutch is all attitude (defensive) right now but is shy about eating. Put a second meal (rat pinky) since we got him and like the first one he just looked at us until we left the room. I was gone for 3-4 min tops and it was gone. Given his unique pattern I really hope he tames out a bit over the next few weeks.

Well the gloves are off and no striking today when we pulled him from the viv. Still a bit flighty but otherwise becoming a well behaved little man.
My son makes me proud.

Re: New Jag taming round 2 :)
He's still a rocket and after about 8-10 min he just goes into flee mode so thats when we put him back. His yellow is great. He has shed once since we got him and it was quite the change. Can't wait until his next one. He had a nice size rat pup last night. No strike just wants it left for him. Funny snake for sure.

A rocket, lol. I got a chuckle outta that
Mine all just want their food left for them too, which works out well because they *are* designed to sniff it-out. We'll just pretend my Bloods don't strike when they smell food for the purpose of this post

It's so true. He is so fast and darts out like he was just fired out of a canon. Almost kamkazi in nature. You gotta get your other hand out there or he is gone

Re: New Jag taming round 2 :)
I've been slowly working with my yearling. Talk about slow. I put my hand in her viv, she comes over to it, postures up and strikes. Then she will allow me to pick her up. After about 5 mins she strikes again. I wait another minute or two then put her back. She's super flighty. If someone walks into the room while I have her, she's ready to take off. Calling them a rocket is a perfect metaphor.
Lucy accepted rat pinks with no problem. I will say she is quite the messy eater though. Its inevitable that after feeding a tank cleaning is required.
