whoops
I decided to go check out fauna classifieds, big mistake. I'm heavily considering ordering a gorgeous garden phase atb and a young frilled dragon, I know I shouldn't, but argh!

Re: whoops
I know right? lol I can no longer look there or ks. And I try real hard not to look in the for sale or adoption areas on the forums. I'm a sucker for giving snakes a new home lol

Re: whoops
Craigslist is worse because they are usually within driving distance.

Re: whoops
It's a phase of ATBs, like a morph. It's kinda greenish brown I think.

“Garden phase” is a phrase used interchangeably with any variation of the Amazon tree boa (Corallus hortulanus) not primarily yellow, orange or red. These attractively camouflaged snakes represent roughly 90 to 95 percent of those imported from Suriname and Guyana.

Re: whoops
My wife is afraid of my atb. Well I am too. He is kinda mean and randomly strikes the glass as you go by. So I have to get rid of him soon. I was told it was a garden.

Re: whoops
ATBs are like GTPs, usually they are a display herp rather than one you'd interact with lots.

Re: whoops
ATBs and ETBs and any of those tree boas and pythons are the only non-venomous snake I'm "afraid" of (basically keep my distance). I really don't like those large fangs and big teeth getting into my skin

Re: whoops
They don't hurt that badly really. And not all are nippy. My two emeralds have never struck at me in 3 years.

Re: whoops
Mine is around 6 ft long. So lets just say no matter where I hold him he can reach my face. Idc if he bites my hand or arm it is my face I worry about. Now when I get him out(about twice a week) I can tell if it is going to be a head hold session or not. Some times he comes out in a good mood and some times he puts on his angry eyes!
