What is the best way to sell a snake?

I have a ball python I sadly have to sell because of my apartment regulations. Does anyone have any advice on the best way to sell it?

classifieds on here or your local newspaper would be one way of letting people know its available.your local reptile shop may take it off your hands.

those are some pretty crappy apartment regulations.

Imo, move him to a sweater box, and tell your landlord you got rid of him.

I don't know what the laws are where you are, but here landlords have to give you 24 hours notice that they want to inspect your apartment, plenty of time to slide him under your bed.

Also, have you asked if you can keep him if you pay a pet fee? In my experience landlords are like bums. If you give them money, they go away.

LMAO it's so true. I am so glad i own and don't rent any more. That sucks having to give up our snake it's worth than th_nutkick.gif I feel for you. You do know snake are real easy to hide. Put it in a pillow case and hide it in your dresser under some clothes. Bet he never think to look in a dresser.

Craigslist has always worked for me, but I would check to see if a pet fee would get the landlord to let you keep him, or hide him until you think it's ok. I would personally not stay in a place where I couldn't have my pets. I've had to pay pet fees for my cats, but never for a snake. Landlords around me consider reptiles pretty much inert...they don't make any noise, they don't smell and they don't leave their cages. I'd also look at your lease and see if there is anything in the lease you can work around or if reptiles are even mentioned. A lot of leases will only mention cats/dogs as banned pets.

BTW, where do you live? If you live anywhere near me, I can find your snake a good home if you can't work something out with your landlord. I know a lot of keepers.
