100% ha ??????

Hello all. Just wondering if anyone can explain what that means. I am selling some of my geckos and someone asked if i wanted to trade a 3 month old ball that was 100% ha. I asked him what that meant and he has no idea apparently, just that the snake was sold to him as 100% ha. I asked where he got it from and I have not gotten a reply yet. It's been an game of e-mail tag for the past few days. I am assuming that it means 1 of 2 things. Either it is 100% healthy, or 100% het for something. Any professional suggestions? Even unprofessional ones would help...lol

Re: 100% ha ??????

I would definatley think "ha" is "het"...I wouldn't go so far as to say that it means het albino, I'd think he just had it sold to him as a "100% het something" and forgot what it was lol..

nope. his animal is "100% ha". meaning he has no idea what the hell it is and even if he does somehow figure it out theres no guarantee that the animal is what he says it is.

a het animal is normal unless you intend to bred it to another animal that it het for the same gene as the first. if thats what youre planning on doing then buy a genetically guaranteed 100% het animal from a reputable breeder.

I would not deal with someone that has no clue as to what they own personally, Mark

Re: 100% ha ??????

Ok. So maybe this snake will turn out to be normal. If the guy has no idea about it though, and would prefer geckos, I think I should take the snake anyways. It is only 3 months old and would be a big change compared to the 3 year old ones that I have. Even if it isn't het for anything, it'll be cute as a button.

I would make sure he knew how to properly take care of the Geckos first, but otherwise sure why not? Mark
