Blackthroat Monitor

I am researching the Blackthroat Monitor, so far I like what I see
however there is not much info about therefor I ask:

How tame can they get?
What size enclosure do they require?
And most importantly what are your comments on this wonderful Lizard

Thanks
Brian

That way, when you criticize them you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

albigs

I currently own three. They are very calm monitors, they dont dash in your presence.. Mine tend to be a little grumpy when disturbed, but they dont bite.. just make noise and tail whip.. Once i have ahold of them they are fine. (which is amazing considering i rarely hold them)

They eat ALOT throughout their lives, espeacially full grown
i Currently house a pair in a 10x6x6 enclosure, a single blackthroat would require i would say nothing less then an 8 foot x4x4 enclosure.

They are personally my fav monitor by far, and I would highly recommend them.
