Hondo Breeding Size

Just curious as to the size a female should be for breeding. My female is of unknown age but she is around the 3 foot mark give or take a few cm.

Weight is far more important then size for hondo females. 500 gr. is the minimal a female should be prior to brumation as they will take on an extra 100-150 gr. out of brumtion before producing eggs.

As for size, I would not breed my females before they attain the 4' range but that is just me, I like my hondos big.

Others do breed their females at 3' and then wonder why they only get 3-4 eggs...

Yep. I wait until at least year 3 for the female Hondos. Its worth it man.
