new crestie in the morning

my first and new crestie is due to arrive in the morning via priority shipping. it's only comming from about half an hour away so it's no big deal. the breeder said he will be in a insulated box. my question is how should i get him out of the box and into the tank? should i just open it and take him out or will he take off? they are not like those other geckos that are fast as greece lightning are they?

thanks for the help

They aren't that bad just a little jumpy. You wont have any problem. I'm not sure Greece lightning is any faster than Canadian lightning.

You shouldn't have much of a problem. Like Andy said, the little one can be jumpy. If your really paranoid about it you can always open the box witin the enclosure so if it does decide to jump, it will be in the enclosure. Just make sure the drop isn't that big. Best of luck with the new crestie and remember to post pics if you can.
