Adopted/ rescued ball

This man came in to the pet store I work @ and asked if we would take a ball python. The owner of the store said she didn't want to take it but asked if I wanted it.

The guy was getting rid of it because his kid got bit. After some questioning it was the kids fault (as always). Judging from where he bought it originally it is probably WC probably 3 ft maybe a bit more. Just letting him settle before I bother him too much. I'll keep everyone posted.

Seems healthy enough but is being quarantined anyway. How long should I quarantine it? Is 90 days enough?

I would quarantine a new animal for about 6 months but that is just me.

VI Reptiles this IS NOT and attack on you BUT I do not think you should be giving out advice when you have NO idea about the info you are giving.
Some ppl will take your advice which from all the posts I have read that you reply to are just the WRONG info.
I know you are trying to help but I think you may do MORE harm by giving the wrong info then you would if you did not post if your not 100% SURE your info is RIGHT on the money.

If Dr. Alexander is still practicing in Saint John I'd bring it into her just for a check up and get a fecal done. I'd also treat it for mites even if you don't see any.
Cheers,
Trevor
