gutloading colour enhancers...

well i was thinking... gutloading obviously makes a change in you lizard, health wise... but i was reading a little on iggies and seen veggies that are colour enhansors... do you think tomatoes and red bell pepers gutloaded into crix would have an ill effect on lizzards...
there is a possiblity that it could be a colour enhancer for lizards and i kinda wanna try it.. you are what you eat right... so would bell peppers and tomatoes pose a threat...

I noticed that when I began giving my crix high quality color enhancer flaked fish food mixed with other stuff that most of our reptiles looked nicer after about 4 weeks or so.

I noticed that in the Reptiles magazine there is an ad showing a beardie as a baby (normal colour) and then as a juvie so many weeks later being a definate Orange colour. They claim an almost exclusive diet of their pellet food produces this change.

Anyone else see that ad? I can look up the food type and brand if no one saw it... It was the jan issue I believe.

I saw that issue. Could be true but I don't think a color enhanced cricket food could produce that much of a color change!! Maybe just make the color more pronounced and defined. Who knows!
