I really want an albino ball python!

Every website I've found that has them for sale, I've noticed that they're very expensive. I also like the albino pythons but I want something that doesnt get too huge! Oh well, maybe someday I'll have one!

Ummmm, what im doing is im getting a 100% het male breeding to a normal then selling all the male babies and keeping females. Then you breed the father back to the females he fathered and you might get an albino is how I understand. Then you breed them back to the dad and if they dont produce an albino, try again and if they dont I would consider her a normal and you can keep her or you can sell her ( id keep her ). Its the best bet if you want albinos but it will take 5 or more years. Remember to breed the 100% male to the original female for 2 years in a row then a break and then 2 more years and so on. Then your on your way to making albinos and to starting a good hobby!

If an experienced reptile breeder tells me I am wrong you should follow his path

Well, for what its worth, you should be come an experienced reptile KEEPER before you start considering becoming a breeder. That is one way to do it. Ultimately though, in terms of cost (which is still pricey even for a guaranteed het), time invested and running cost (Incubators, feeding and housing the snakes) you are still making a similar investment with more work involved.

Prices on the albino morph will drop over time. I want one, too, so I feel your pain I cant afford any crazy "more than a grand" snakes right now.

There are lots of other species and or BP morphs to consider. If you are stuck on an albino BP, keep your eye out for a good deal but be prepared to be patient.
