You sure can. She's got her dark and uglies on. That's what I call her dark, angery colours. But ya she was pissed and comming for me. She's such a fun snake.

AMAZING PICS. They look so intelligent in my mind. They are just gorgeous. Too bad they get so big. And if the dwarfs kept the color of the normals id have nothing but retics.

They are actually very intelligent. Retics are considered to be amongst the most intelligent reptiles. They display a great deal of awareness and show interesting hunting habits. They're right up there with King Cobras.

I saw a video report once on King Cobra intelligence... it was extremely interesting... I wish I could remember where I saw it...
I think some reptiles are far more intelligent than we give them credit for... =)

Well from an evolutionary (is that a word?) stand point they are as intelligent as they need to be. Their brains are still pretty small, but anyone that has worked with a Retic knows that there's a bit more going on in their heads than say a Burm.

They stalk their prey, seemingly studying their habits; sometimes for a month or more. They seem to be learning when their intended prey is at its most vulnerable to predation. My Retics seem to always be watching me when I'm in the room with them. My Burms and Afrock (not so much) take zero notice of me.

King Cobras, Crocodiles, and Monitor lizards (especially Komodos) are also considered amongst the most intelligent reptiles.

Id hafta say beardies should be on that list they seem pretty intelligent. When my beardy was little he had a dish to put his food in and every morning I would dump the crickets in their. Now everytime he hears plastic rustling or when I wake up in the morning he is sitting in the dish waighting for me lol.

Sometimes i put a G.Pig in the cage just to see if they eat. If they are not in a feeding mood they will strike at the rodent, not to kill but to make him go away. If it doesn't work the retic will strike AT ME...just like she knows i'm the one responsable.

They are one of the few animals that will kill just because they are being annoyed. Like the G.pig, it's of no threat to the Retic, but it's irritating it, so she kills it. I've heard similar stories from several sources.
