Miami Serpentarium (post Charlie)

I went over to the Serpentarium in Punta Gorda today, For the most part, the buildings are ok. One building had the aluminum roof of the back porch torn off. There were a few large trees down, but compared to the rest of Punta Gorda, Bill's place looks good.

good to hear, I guess it could have been much worse, especially with the venomous snakes!

I was in Daytona when Charlie hit....it was pretty intense stuff....got it all on tape too....Unfortunately Charlie was much more exciting to see than the Daytona Venomous Expo....There were not any specimens that really stood out for me at the show...I was hoping someone would have some rare Bitis, Naja or maybe some baby blacks or kings.....Snake Getters had a very nice display though

Charlie kept vendors out of the show Glades did not even get there till late sunday and others had their animals delayed because of him. Sunday Diamond Reptiles and Spellbrink had some very nice animals out. We ended up getting some Naja naja polyocelata, Naja kaouthia, Naja pallida and more popes vipers. There were Kings but sold very fast opening day of the show. Next year hopefully no hurricanes and more vendors and animals. The show was pretty good all things concidered.
