Hey, Worried mom here!
Well, not extrememly but still being my first baby I want to make sure I'm doing everything right. I got my baby corn on June 13th. He was 2 months old. I didn't measure and weigh him when I first got him. I don't know what I was thinking, guess I was just too busy and forgot. Anyway, I know he has definately grown and has gone from eating 1 f/mp to now eating 2 f/mps every 5-6 days. He poops regularly and although I've never caught him in the water dish I did see him drink from it once. I would say he has grown about 2-3 inches in the last month and about 6 grams. my only concern is that he has not shed yet. Is this normal for baby corns? Shouldn't he have shed by now? I have his previous feeding record but no shed record so I don't know when the last shed was. I'm a little concerned but I don't think there is anything to really worry about, I guess I'm just looking for reasurance. lol
He really is a cute little boy too, and so easy to handle!
Here is my sweetie.
p.s. He is not my first corn, just my first baby corn. I bought my girl as an adult. she is 2.5 years old. And now I have gotten a third corn last week end. Beautiful, in shed now but can't wait till she/he comes out of shed so I can get some pics and get it sexed once it's settled in. The best thing about corns though is that they don't get stressed like some other snakes. Jeffery, my baby, ate the day after he got home. My female (adult) ate the same day she came home and she has never refused food.

hmm, thought you had just gotten your first one? LOL the addiction starts.
In answer to your question, IME, they shed generally once ever 4-5wks.
I would suspect he will blue within a week ( let me know if I'm right eh LOL ).
^ above answer based on my corns and experiences from others around re shedding once every 4-5wks as youngsters.
Sounds like everything is great from what you say...personally I wouldn't worry

Our hatchlings shed, on average, every 4-5 meals from first feeding to about a year. We have been increasing their food size to keep them to this rate. Some of them have gone 6-8 meals without a shed if they were getting smaller prey (they didn't seem ready to move up in size yet), so I am sure you have nothing to worry about.

Gee thanks Vanan, I guess I asked for that. lol.
yes, Christina, I got my first snake on Mother's day. she is a 2.5 year old and an awesome girl. I then got another in June and my daughter got her first snake, a milk. Believe me I know it's addictive. I've wanted a snake for sooooooooo long! But hubby was always too afraid, now that he gave in... watch out. lol I am getting my first balls next week and after that I want to add a pair of apricot pueblans to my collections and leave it at that. I think. lol.
He's had 5 meals with me and guess what, he shed today. Bahaha! I thought his eyes looked milky a couple days ago but I guess it's just cuz he is so small I thought maybe it was my eyes. He didn't get as light as my girl usually does. But I thought I was seeing things when his eyes were back to normal the day after. Usually my girl has milky eyes for at least a couple days. I might have just missed it with him cuz he is so small. I'm so happy to see he is growing.
b-ball. hee hee. I like that name. Jeffery is a normal het amel. He isn't anything spectacular in color but a sweet corn he is!! I love him. And I love to take pics of him. Can't wait till he is all grown up. but he is cute as a button right now.
