Not a male?

I had my 2 baby dragons in the same tank today while I was cleaning after feeding. My Yellow/Lavender x Snow "Male" (determined by worthyreptiles 10 weeks) who is now 14 inches head to tail (2 weeks ago he was 10 3/4") and my Sandfire Red/Gold Female (was predetermined by Daichu' 7 weeks) who is 7" head to tail tip.

They always get along, I hold them together, and they interact so well I was planning on saving them for eachother even though he'll be ready long before she will I was thinking of holding him back, just seemed right (lol sorry beleiver in fate) but while I had them in Beardsly's tank the 'female' mounted the 'male' and while this happened Beardsly, my 'male' began waving his arms like ive never seen either of them do before. He did them in intervels of 3 right to left and did so for about 4 minutes. Does this mean even though it looks like a male there's a possibility he's a she? Or is it maybe because their still immature and are just doing gestures they instinctivly know?

When you say 'she' 'mounted' the 'male,' can you describe this? Did 'she' just sit ontop of 'him'? If so, that really isn't a big deal and isn't really mounting - rather just a beardie sitting on another beardie. I also have had males do the arm wave, so that doesn't concern me much.

If you want to be positive, post a picture of their vent area and I would be more then willing to sex them for you.

Yeah it was definatly more of just sitting on him, not mounting for any sexual encounter.

Even though I am pretty positive of the sex as were the people I bought them from once my digital program is back up and running I will post some vent pictures so I can also hear the oppinions this forum has to offer. Should be working as soon as I get my little brother to come over and look at it.

Do you know what I could put her against to make her colors show in the pictures? Everything I use allowed to much light. This is a very well lit house with alot of windows so everytime I try and snap a shot of my beardies (maybe because of their color) they show up really shiny, kinda like a light beamed down from heaven on them lol. But anyways if you have any ideas im interested I used a black t-shirt and that didn't help too much for my females colors. I'll post a couple of photos of them though you'll just have to imagine the colors yourself lol

Here's a pic of both of them on my shoulder. Sierra is closest to my face. She's a beautiful Sandfire Red x Gold from Dachiu (I'm sure many of you can imagine the colors, they're nice, especially for her small size) She's 6-7 weeks old. Beardsly is the other one he's 8-9 weeks old (2 weeks older than Sierra) He's a nice Yellow/Lavender x White From Worthy Reptiles I've seen the mother and she's extremely white, but I know of 5 of the off spring that live close to me and they've all been dark yellow and lavender so far. Ha and forgive me, first thing in the morning didn't feel like shaving. Again if anyone knows a good back ground to place them against to show colors off let me know.

Try taking different angled shots, shooting shots of a dragon where you can see the side profile or the back will usually make a better picture and show their true colours. It's hard to take one from the front with the white of the beard showing.

Also, try picking up some of the foam bristol boards in different colours to use as a background and for the dragon to sit on and try and take the photo with the light behind you. This usually works for us.

Thanks, I do have many differant angled shots from the back etc I just thought I'd post that one I think they're cute when they sit on my should andm ove their heads from side to side for awhile. I'm going to try and take some pics in a few after I size down a piece of drift wood for Beardsly's tank.
