How long am I ???????
There has been quite a debate on measuring snakes one method versus another so I thought now that I had a few spare seconds we could play a little guessing game to see how many of us can judge a boa's length by just looking at the snake in question. This should be a great big blast and I bet the anwsers will be very varied and the winner will get to come over to the madd house for beers (yes my place air fare or gas money not included lol)
Female Bci relaxin at the pad
Streched out against the wall she is not in a good mood today
I will show the actual measurement in a few days
Peace
Hip

The case of Corona and the fact that I've held her gives it away for me! Love that snake!
Cheers,

Why do people have such a tough time measuring anyway? A length of tailors tape is easy to find, and as long as you match up the end to an end, just run your hand along and you get the measurement...
If people don't know where to look, just walk into any craft or fabric store and ask for some.
I'm estimating about 5'4" or 5'5", off the tiling on the floor. If it's the 4 inch tiles I think they are.

HIP:
Just guessing from the floor pattern those might be 5 inch squares so:
5 inch x 15 squares = 6.4 feet roughly
Cya...

Just to let all of you at home know trev held her back on Dec 31 2003 Her growth rate has remained constant since that time even though I gave her 2 months off the feeding schedule (I do this once and a while at the same time of the year for my boa's) Here is a hint on her last vet check up almost a year ago (june 25 2003) she weighed 10 pounds seven on an emtpy stomach. She is heaver now for sure One of you is so close you are smokin but not quite there yet. Keep the guesses coming
