Pseudo Scorpions

I have had a few people talking about these little and I mean little scorpion type bugs in their house. I did some searching and this is what they are. This was the hardest thing I ever had to take a pic of. This one was about 1.5 mm. Enjoy......

jea here in Belgium we have about 20 species of pseudoscorpions.
I have find them because they are very small.

as you can see they don't have a tail, but they have poison in the hairs on there pedipalps.

I have some reports of Belgium professors who where studiing this specie.
it's possible to hold them in small boxes, but breeding is very hard.

wonderfull !!!

for pictures just PM or mail me:

I have seen those little guys here in ON many times in the house. I always get a kick out of them as we have no real scorpions.

That one looks pregnant, compared to the one we have.

The one we have has much longer "arms" and bigger pincers. I had no idea what it was until I mentioned it to Walter.

I used a Canon G1. With the macro filters. There are 2000 different types of pseudoscorpions. So the one you seen Ryan might be different then the one I took pics of.

Not to worry, Vanan has it now and I am sure he will get pictures of it.

That's really cool!

I found one many years ago. Haven't seen one since, though.

Great pics.

Cheers!
