sick? scorp.. please help

Hello.. my sister recently aquired what we believe to be a scorpion of the Hadogenes family. not sure exactly. anyways, i know very little about inverts in general, but i can tell that this one is ill. basically, it's very lethargic and isn't even really holding its tail up. currently, we have it on some damp coconut fiber substrate. it is apparantly drinking lots from its water dish.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

cheers,

Justin

How recently? Most scorpions do go through and adjustment period. Excessive drinking is not unusual just after a scorpion has been shipped and I provide all new aquisitions with plenty of water. If it is a Hadogenes, it should be provided with lots of flat rocks to hide amongst, lest it become stressed. Heat should be around 80, peaking to 90 during the day. Humidity need not be excessive.

Unfortunatley, there is also the possibility that it is getting on in years and is going to die regardless of what you do. Provide it with the proper conditions, don't bother it and see what happens.

Cheers,
Dave
