Here's the problem the other day when i took my uro out for some handling, i noticed that he had some white crusties on and around his nostril Is this normal or should i be making a vet app? I gently removed it as i was worried it would interfear (sp?) with his breathing any info anyone has on this would be greatly appericiated. Thank you everyone
From what I understand, this sounds like a simple excretion of salt. Numerous desert species of lizards perform the same function. I don't think there is anything to worry about, but it's fine to gently remove the excretion if it doesn't fall off by itself.
I hope this helps and if anyone else has anything to add, please do.
That is probably the most asked question..its nothing at all to worry about, as silent truth said its how the secrete salt. Once in a while there will be A LOT of build up so i just wipe it away just so it doesnt bother them but you dont even need to do that..they will rub it off them selves when it gets in there way..so dont worry bout a thing
