The snakes I fell for....
........ever since the first one I found on my porch many years ago, not much different than this. How can we ever get enough? Better yet, how can we ever part with them? When I see one of my babies (even in a bad pic) I remember why I love 'em so much.

I originally kept telling my fiance that I wanted a normal but he talked me into the reverse oketees. If we get any more I definitely want a normal.

Guess you beat me to it Mark! Was saving up some pics of my normals as they shed and wanted to make a post on them normals. Not enough spotlight given to the "normals".
First one on your porch eh. Wicked! Only thing we've found around here was a spadefoot on our front sidewalk. Still cool though!
Post pics of your adult normal corns Mark!!

Vanan, with 'em all being cooled I couldn't get a fresh pic, but here's one of the father of the little one above. There's a guy in Britain putting together a book on cornsnakes and he just may use this snake in it. I'll be thrilled if he does. This male was caught a few years ago near my house in south Tampa. I breed him to my Okeetee female and others to get the "wild" genes in there. I also use another wc female to breed with a snow male. That too insures some "fresh blood" so to speak.

Vanan, I think I have told you before, he is absolutely the STRONGEST cornsnake I have ever seen/held. very calm, but you can just feel his strength when you hold him. I thought that was a good trait to breed into my "normals". I remember as a kid finding some exactly like him --and exactly where he was found-- and I didn't really like the near absence of black on them. His belly (and really the whole snake) is immaculate, especially for a wc. Thanks for the compliments on him. I am lucky.
