What am I?
Ok, so I bought this little girl as just a regular amel. It was then brought to my attention she looked like a Motley. I personally don't know the first thing about distinguishing corn morphs, but from pics I have seen I can see Motley similarity. I have also had some other people say that she doesn't look like a Motely at all. I've been looking at pics on corn sites and some look like her, some don't come close. So to those experienced with corn morphs... what is she??

Normal, if the belly is checkered normal, if belly plain, a not so great motley.
Many normal patterned snakes have circles on the back.

Looks normal to me as well, as Katt said, check the belly for patterning.

LOL either way I'm happy with her. I wasn't looking to even get a corn, but it was a deal I couldn't resist! Now I just have to pair her up with an equally stunning male

Looks like you have your answer that she does not appear to be a motley based on the pattern of her saddles (mostly not connected) and this can be confirmed if she does not have a plain white belly (motleys do).
She is a really pretty amel - very intense colors. Congrats on her,
mary v.

amel means that the animal lacks black pigmentation. So removing the black pigmentation on a corn snake will lead to an orange or red corn snake. Where as anery means lacking red pigmentation. Thus leading to a black/grey corn snake.

Amel is short for Amelanistic in case you weren't up on the slang & is explained above Mark

In addition to what Simon says, the black pigment is referred to as melanin
