Stick with the crickets, butter worms & supers are very fatty and will shorten the life of your beardie. Meal worm skin is very hard to digest and could clog up your beardies insides...conserderably shortening his life.

Read some of the posts here in the BD forum...lots of good info about what to feed and what not to feed.

I personally do not ever feed my beardies mealies. The chitlin is too hard to break down for them and they run a higher risk of impactation. Theres a huge variety that you can feed them. You can give beardies butterworms just not as a stable. I give my beardies treatsdurning the summer months along with a very nutrietional diet. They get butterworms 2 times through out the summer. My girl goes absolutley nuts for them. But if all your guy wants is crickets then let him eat those. Have you tried Veggies yet??? If not try some dark greens like collard, kale, mustard, turnip, dandelion, parsley, swiss chard, endive.

I'm not a fan of the mealies either. Variety is important but if you are getting a variety of greens and veggies either into the beardie, or into the crickets if he's a fussy salad eater that's not so bad.

Even my fussy beardies usually go nuts for butternut or acorn squash, which is very nutritious. Dandelion greens are another big gave.
