Blue rats
Here's a pic of some of our russian blue rats (same colour as russian blue cats), they're not for food (we put too much work into socializing them) and i don't know if they are from russia (they're actually the same species as regular norway rats, just nammed for their colouring). They're totally cool for pets, specially when kept in pairs, and have their own way of purring.

I have 1.5 of those blues (from Lisa, of course), they are very neat little buggers! Their babies will go to feed snakes, they the 6 adults are my pets.

I had a blue rex rat, he was lovely. Right now I only have my Froglet, he's a silvered black dumbo boy. Rats are awesome when kept as pets, and come from a good breeder.

Oh and while the food bowl looks empty, the little buggers are pack rats and hide the food as we put it in. It's quite the sight to see. Big long line of rats running from the top to the bottom hiding the food. Then there's the lazy rats who wait at the bottom of the cage and steal the food as it's being hidden and hide it some where else (which of course gets moved some where else when they turn their back).

They are adorable! Awesome pic as usual Lisa! I really wish that rats were legal here, because I'd love to have one or ten as a pet.

Aw they are so cute! I have 2 blue ones this here is my male Stuart...

I doubt he will ever become snake food me and my daughter like him too much.
I wish some of his offspring would turn out like him so far it doesnt seem to be a dominant gene. So far he's only produced 1 and it is a male which I realy dont need another of youre pretty lucky to have such a huge litter of all blues

We keep the blues seperate from the rest of our rats, keeps them from having anything but.

here's some more
They are funny, they have a huge space and during the day they'll all cram into the box we give them as a hide box. at night time they are out climbing everywhere.
