babies today!

Hey folks as I was doing one of my daily checks on my incubator which was holding two leopard gecko eggs in it..I noticed something moving around in the little tupperwar container that I had the eggs in with vermiculite...I was like what the heck? I hadn't expected them to hatch until early Sept. but today was the day....so I got them in a little rubbermaid with some papertowel as substrate, a little water dish and some fake leaves for hiding. My question is should I get them a small heat pad for one side just for some heat? Also is it wise to keep them together, the only reason not to would be for competition for food right?

This is my first breeding project and it seems a success! I'm so excited, they are so darn cute! One was even hissing at me...I kept them incubated at around a constant 85 - 86.5 so I'm guessing they will be male? Probably why they hatched out early too, well I'm glad they are finally here. Any tips or advice for a first timer would be appreciated, thanks! Pics to come on my website soon!

Well of course you should have some heat in there! I'm not sure how warm it is supposed to be.....I don't see why you can't house them together until you sell them or they get older....Just my opinion though...Can't wait to see the pics and Congrats on your breeding project!!!!

Yes, u should put a heat pad on one end. It should be about 85 degrees on that end. Congratulations on your babies.

Thanks guys....i'm going to pick up a heat pad after work today...actually thought I had one lying around but I don't....they'll be okay anyway until then...the room I have them in is about 78-80. I'll pick up some pinhead crickets as well.
