I haven't cleaned my tank for over 3 months, they dont stink. i just want to do it since this week i have nothing to do but study before i go to college.
Is it a good idea to just get viniger mixed with water and a sponge? I don't have the man power to lift my tanks outside to the backyard to give it a good spray anymore.
ya or you can put the viniger and water in a spray botle then spray the tank with it wait a few seconds for it to break some of the gunk down then wipe all of it off
Get a straight edge razor. You can even purchase them with a nifty handle. You scrap the glass, no scratches and it works Amazing. And really fast and easy.
Then just pick up all the dust and "shavings" from the bottom. Voila.....VERY clean glass.
As for the bottom....the razor works well too. Scrap and wipe.
I just use vinegar in its straight form on glass and give it a rinse. Takes of water scale in seconds (literally... none of those other products compare). Also kills a lot of germs.
I also use Windex..then after I wipe it all out..I spray the tank down with plain water and wipe again...then let air dry for about 20 mins and I have never had a problem.
i put a lil bit of bleach in a large spray botle then fill the rest up with water. spray the cage. then wipe it around lots and make sure to get the seams in the tank. then dunk a dish rag into a bowl of salt water and do the same thing as i do with the bleach multiple times then i dry it all out and then im done.
