Finally some good news

Well, we do have some good news from the Kenyan collection. We just added another one! Big full-grown male that we will be breeding next year with our 4 year old female. Pics to come later.

Also, we found out that our little baby is 100% het for super-melanistic. His mother is almost completely black. VERY nice looking snake. So, once our baby grows up, we'll be able to breed some melanistic Kenyans.

Finally some good news for us!!!!

Awesome invictus! Very cool indeed Ought to make for some nice babies.

I have a question about the hetness tho... it "super-melanistic" is a recessive trait? I thought it was just selective breeding?

I'll do my best to get pics of the mother. In the mean time, imagine the dark blotches being where they should be, but where the orange would appear, she is a DARK chocolate brown, almost black. I don't know when I'll be seeing the breeder next, but I'll talk to him and see what I can get.
