Question poop smelling

Today in my new Bps cage he seeemed a little active. I was wondering why hes was so jumpy today but then i notice a couple pices of poop in the cage. My qusetion is does my bp smell the poop and thinks its food or did he just kinaly seddle into his new home.

I think he was just settleing into his/her new enclosure.

Active often means stressed, and it shouldn't be mistaken for a good thing (in BP's anyhow). Check your hot spot temps, your cool spot temps and your gradient and make sure they are ok. Does he also have a suitable hide?

plenty of hides mostly all day he sleeps under his box or his water bowl. The basking spot is around 86 and the overall is at 80.
