You have got to see this
At the recent meeting of the Edmonton Reptile & Amphibian Society, Snakey Acres (Neil) had some pictures that were e-mailed to him from a friend in Calgary.
Quote:
Attached are some photos of a Colombian boa shortly after swallowing a small rabbit. It appears as though some teeth on her upper jaw hooked the rabbit's feet as it was going down, resulting in the snake completely swallowing its own head! The owner of this boa called me in a panic after this happened, after he successfully pulled the boa's head back out. Luckily, he had a digital camera at his side to capture the boa feeding, so was able to snap off these pics before rescuing her. Anyone else out there ever seen this??

OOOMMMGGG!!!
Un-freankin'-believable!!! Dang... Could you imagine coming back to your snake and seeing that???
How was the snake afterwards? Any damage from digestive juices or suffocation?
I wonder how often this would happen in the wild?

That is very strange, I have never herd of this or seen this before.
I just had to copy and save these pictures.
Big Mike can I use these picture on my web site?
Or do you know who owns this pictures?
E-mail me and let me know.
Thanks
Tom McCarthy

I'm sorry but I think that is impossible. How can a snake get its head inside its own mouse. Think about it, its head has to be in it's mouth to get down its throat. I would like to see a pic of the snake now. It looks more like a hole in the throat and the head shoved into that.
