Presenting Abigail, my Colombian Boa
Hey guys!
So...last Saturday I went to a reptile show near the city where I live. And even though I told myself I was going there "just to look around", I ended up bringing home this beauty:
Let's see how she adapts and develops

Very nice critter. Congrats on the pretty new addition. Its almost impossible to go to reptile shows and come home empty handed.

Thanks Ziggy. She is pretty cool and so damn mellow. I hope she keeps this personality. And you're right, it is just not possible! But I need to refrain myself...my boyfriend was already raising his brow when I asked him "How mad would you be if I brought home one more snake today?"

Re: Presenting Abigail, my Colombian Boa
Beautiful boa! love the salmon and caramel tones!
Btw. It's not a Colombian unless you have documentation, otherwise it's common boa. Nothing wrong with that, I'm just not a fan of wrong labels.

I always wondered about that, Tsubaki. And I definitely don't want to use false labels, but since it's my first boa and I gave priority to care research, I haven't gotten into the "labels" yet.
So the scientific designation that the breeder gave her when I bought her was Boa Constrictor Imperator Kubsch Pastel. What is the common name then?
PS: Thanks for the compliments! I love the color tones on her as well

I'm at work and can't give you a more elaborate explanation a.t.m, Boa Imperator < scientific name Kubsch pastel < line bred colour. I'll add more later unless someone beats me to it!
