Nice shots! I remember when you first got him. His colors have noticeably become brighter.

Re: Outdoor JCP Pictures ("yawning" shots, finally!)
Beautiful little JCP and great pics. I have yet to find a semi-arboreal snake that isn't somewhat curious about my camera. Seems I always end up with out of focus pics of their faces right in the lens.

Thanks!! Still will have to get my hands on a macro lens eventually, but so far the portrait and kit lenses work okay. And it really is cool realizing how much brighter he's gotten - I've always loved his color and only realize how much he's changed when I look at past pictures!

Thank you! He really is looking great - I did ask for a JCP with bolder/brighter yellow and the breeder absolutely delivered!!

Thanks so much! Takes a bit getting used to balancing a heavy camera and a snake at once, but I'm getting the hang of it!

Thank you! I'm using a Nikon D7000 with either a 50mm f/1.8 lens, or an 18-105mm kit lens.

Thank you! And yeah, that's generally how all my pictures turn out LOL He loves reaching towards my camera lens and wrapping himself around it if I let him. Would be cool if my camera could focus that close up, but I also just end up with out of focus or blurry pictures!

Thanks!! Answered above, but my reply's getting long so it's the Nikon D7000 with a 50mm f/1.8 lens or an 18-105mm kit lens. Hoping to get a macro lens eventually for better pictures.
And I just checked out the Bindi thread from a few while back - she's lovely as well! Always cool seeing pictures of her because I think we got our snakes around the same time.

Re: Outdoor JCP Pictures ("yawning" shots, finally!)
If you'll be taking macro shots while holding the snake I'd recommend the 40mm micro from Nikon. Otherwise the 105 nikon/sigma or 90mm tamron are all good. There's an even cheaper tokina 100mm.
