Longest Dumeril's Boa in captivity?

So.. According to Wiki, the longest Dumeril's recorded was 8'6" long. I was wondering if anyone knows how long the biggest CBB Dumeril's is?? I think mine may have broken the record!

8'0"! I thought she was only 6' 7' but I measured her (and remeasured her, and remeasured her!!) I used a few methods to measure her and used each technique several times. She's been 8'0" each time I measured her.

What methods did you use? 8ft' is pretty big.

8 feet is very big! The first method I used was running a string along her, and measuring the string. Took a picture of her next to my shoe, and I used my shoe as a ruler and used a website that measures your snake for you (specify ruler size, add two points for the ruler, put points down the body of your snake, tells you how big it is), and I used a measuring tape. I got 7'11", 8'0", and 8'1", did the tests again and I got 8'0", 8'0", and 7'11". I took her out and sat on the floor, and I noticed that she was a lot longer than me. I'm 6'0" so I was intrigued to measure her.

Is that what Wikipedia says?? Black Betty is over 9' and 26 lbs. Idk where they get their info from.

I just googled her and found pictures of her on another forum. She's pretty!

cant trust wikipedia... most unreliable source of info from the web, general people can add stuff to them...

Ok here are some pics of Black Betty. I have more but these give an overview of what she looks like and just how big she is. Yeah this Dumeril's Boa tops 9' and is about 24-26 lbs. I have heard of a guy in Kansas who has a few 10' Dums but I have never seen them, so for now, Betty is the biggest Dum I have ever seen.

These pics are the most recent as they were taken just this afternoon and Medusa is over 8' long herself.

I need to say that while Betty is the size that she is, Dums don't normally get this big. Normally, females top out at 7' and if you have a 8' Dum you too, have the exception to the rule.

Dang. That's all I have to say. My friend has a baby dum and she's maybe 24" tops. So gorgeous!! How old is she?

She's at least 11 years old but I suspect she's probably closer to 15.

when i did the measuring program with the ruler my male was over 7'. i was shocked.
