Boelens pythons!

Boelens python is a labour of love and is one of our personal projects that we have taken on for the 2005/2006 breeding year. We don't have any unrealistic views or expectation on yielding a clutch, but it will be a pleasure to work with them in the time ahead and collect information and research that may give us the required knowledge for successful propagation of this species. We will keep everyone posted on news worthy events with our Boelens pair, and will have a dedicate section on our site serving these incredible and very rare pythons.

Thanks again to Don Patterson for parting with this pair!

Thanks all! It will be interesting to see what develops...we are dedicating over 30 sq. feet for the pair with a naturalistic setup. Once Chris gets his new video workstation up and running, we'll have some nice clips of the Boelens in feeding and cruising around...we're thinking of installing a couple of dedicated webcams for them this summer once I install the server at the facility.

Magnificent animals!

Boelens could possibly be my favourite python, they are just superb looking snakes...top of my 'one day in the future' wishlist.

In every photo i have seen of them they seem to know they are something special.

Best of luck!

good luck! it is great to see people working with rarer species and with species newer to the hobby. folks said green tree pythons couldn't be bred in captivity and we all know how wrong they were. onward, to a new frontier! the best way to advance the hobby

Absolutely stunning Sean! Those guys were hands down one of my favourites at Don's place -- I might've even held one of those two actually. LOL. I could look at them all day -- I stood there mesmerized by their irridescence for an awful long time when we had them out... lol.

Congrats, and betst of luck with them!
