What type of lizard is this?

Hi all! New to the forum and to reptiles in general. We just adopted a leopard gecko and it came with this other lizard. The owner didn’t know what it was. Any ideas? Thanks!

I don't know enough about lizards to pretend I know exactly which subspecies it is, but it's a skink. Mixing of species is generally not advised and I would seperate them personally. I hope someone else can give you more information about the subspecies you have there. It looks like a type of skink. I can't exactly specify which kind.

It looks like an alligator lizard, but I can't be sure without a geographic region. But regardless, they need to be separated.

Yeah i think it is some species of alligator lizard, though the head looks a bit different. I cant pinpoint what the difference is tho.
