Correcting the general public about "venomous" VS "poisonous" snakes, is like the bloke who always says a tomato is a fruit... Scientifically correct but a bit of a douchey thing to do....

If your just feild herping and having a look at the specimen without having to restrain or capture it... learn to tail and hook instead of tongs.

Much safer for snakes than tongs in inexperienced...

Not certain they are Tully's either (just my opinion - very difficult to prove locales in Aus let alone OS animals)... Tullys we have here look nothing like that, no Tully jungle here is under 5 foot...

Morelia bredli isn't a carpet python, it's stand alone species just like Morelia viridis or Morelia carinata.

You're pic of a Tully jungle doesn't look like a Tully locale jungle... looks more...

Carpets are a hit and miss as a display snake... sure most of them are pretty but they are a nocturnal python by nature and are most active early in the evening.

You may get lucky and have one...

Different locales (barring they are'nt ssp) are normal...

Jullaten x Palmerston JCP does not make less or different to Morelia spilota cheynei, therefore a normal...

Carpets don't have a specific humidity requirement they span nearly all of Oz and are very tolerant of all sorts of conditions...

Plenty of striped carpets in captivity here Chuck... jungles and coastals. I'm pretty sure there are MDs kicking about as well with stripes. I'm not too sure if they've cracked bredlis or darwins yet.
