Re: Personal Lifer (first C.L. Klauberi)

Also found my third C.W. Willardi /Ridgenose Rattlesnake of the season about 20 minutes prior to the C.L. Klauberi . Sorry for the poor pictures, it was dark and trying to keep an eye on the snake...

Finally found one of my gems that have been dodging me for two years in SE Arizona yesterday. Crotalus Lepidus Klauberi /Banded Rock Rattlesnake. Just a juvenile, probably 10-12" long, absolute...

What size is your cage? Also do you have a link/'s you'd be willing to share for the materials you used? I think...

Re: ID help, rattle snake in Vegas

Looks like C.O. Lutosis (Great Basin Rattlesnake) to me. They vary greatly from range to range in appearance. Definitely a must find for me personally.

Re: First Rattler of the year...

Just make it a policy to start looking for them and you 'll probably start to never see them (herpers curse). Be careful and be aware, Cali is covered with C.O. Oreganus. The bite is bad and CroFab...

Re: A Different Ethics Question

I don't agree with that at all, your intent should be given at time of interest in purchasing the animal/'s. I think honesty is the best policy on this subject.

Re: ID help, rattle snake in Vegas

Need a picture, but there are a few species native to the area. You have Western Diamondback's (Crotalus Atrox), Mojave's (Crotalus Scutulatus), Speckled's (Crotalus Mitchelli Pyrrhus), Great...

Re: A Different Ethics Question

I am against it, with or without sellers permission. Heck if the seller is ok with it, the animal needs to go to a better home anyways. There are millions upon millions of animals bred and born...

Re: rear fanged snake bites

Same thing happened with my Cal King when I had him, but I was prepared. A swab of listerine a few mm from where he was latched and he released in about 10 seconds.

Re: After 16 years.

Re: After 16 years.

Very fortunate! Nice addition!

Side question, but how well do Corals do in captivity? I've heard mixed reviews and I wouldn't mind keeping a Micruroides euryxanthus (Sonoran/AZ Coral) if I ever...
