Inpatient and betrayed baby bird, LOL.

Yesterday I went through the rack and checked everyone's water first before feeding them, slightly out of routine. Ziva was absolutely betrayed by me putting the lid back on her enclosure without...

Re: Pied sided corn snake genetic question

Right, I don't know much or understand anything I do know about pied, lol. It's an odd gene for sure and as far as I know no one has managed to decouple it. Diffused/Bloodred is a messed up gene/name...

Re: Pied sided corn snake genetic question

Pied is both recessive in corns and linked to the Diffused gene. A corn can be Diffused without being pied but can't be a pied unless it is also Diffused. Here is a Diffused pied I just hatched that...

Re: Defying the odds Thai Bamboo clutch!

The other twin is out now. He was much calmer and let me get some good pictures and a good weight on him. He is 3 grams and male as well. Looks the same as the first twin.

Re: Defying the odds Thai Bamboo clutch!

The first twin is out and a little rocket. Got one flying picture while trying to get a weight, which is probably 2.2 or 3.2 grams, the scale was really struggling to get a reading, so not sure...

Defying the odds Thai Bamboo clutch!

Serenity laid her first clutch earlier this year. Back in 2014, she and Atari produced one set of fraternal twins, a male and a female. The rest of that season and the two she's had after, no twins....

Re: Introducing Genesis, Thai Bamboo ratsnake. O. p. coxi

She is actually a little chubby. Normally they do have slightly more definition between neck and head. Will have to see about slimming her down a little bit.

Introducing Genesis, Thai Bamboo ratsnake. O. p. coxi

She just arrived this morning. She is a 2014 and is very chill, for an O. p. coxi. Which is nice, my male Atari is also pretty chill, so gives us two adults that can be handled.

Peed in the bag on...

Re: Anyone Ever Jealous?

My husband grew up with parents that weren't big on pets of any kind, especially snakes, which he loved. So he wasn't allowed any. We met on an online dating site where I had listed all my animals,...

Re: Nikys. Scaleless corn snake.

Nikys shed today and got her first outdoor photo shoot. Unfortunately she wadded her shed up into a little ball and I got no useful pictures of it.

Re: Nikys. Scaleless corn snake.

Yep. Just like Ultra and a few other genes, they were also originally hybridized to another ratsnake cousin to bring in the scaleless gene, though then bred back to corns for quite a few generations....

Iroh outdoor photo shoot. (Green Tree Python)

Iroh just shed and we've actually got decent light at the moment, so took him out for a quick photo shoot.

Our one and only python.
