Re: Help building monitor enclosure

On my 4 foot cage with sliding glass door I just took and routed out 2 tracks in the top and bottom. They are about 1/4 inch apart and work beautifully. I also like this method because you do not...

Lights Necessary During Brumation?

Hello, my bearded dragon that is a few years old. He brumates for a good 3 months without eating or anything the whole time. I am going on a trip for about a week for the holidays. I am obviously not...

Re: very skinny beardie...

Perfect! I would love to see some pictures. You might want to run a fecal too. If he has parasites it would do him wonders to get them removed I think. Your local vet should be able to do this for...

Re: very skinny beardie...

I would not feed him chicken or anything. He will gain weight by having a good diet. It might take a few months but I am sure he will get back to normal soon. You might want to order hornworms...

Re: New Beardie

He actually looks very healthy especially for the conditions he was in-I would imagine they were not very good. I second taking a fecal sample to a vet to do a fecal float test. You can also do them...

Re: Substrate for a beardie

I did spot clean and I did remove the surrounding soil but it was still just a pain and smelly. And my dragon hated it. Now I am building a backround out of foam and grout tat covers the bottom too...

Re: How to clean Used Terrarium

I agree. That would be the best way to go in my opinion.

Is this the sealant you are referring to?

I love our first one. That looks a little like one I am building right now.

Frozen Roach Supplier

Hello so I have recently started to use frozen insects for my beardie. I love them because it means no maintenance :bouncy:. Which is not that bad just I would rather be spending time with my animals...

Re: Substrate for a beardie

One thing I do not like about the sand and soil mix is it can get kinda smelly after just a week but my dragons feces do smell normally. I just found that I cant get rid of it with sand.

Re: new Bearded dragons.

I dont think that you will have any dead ones or anything for a little while until they are bigger. You could possibly have nipped toes/tails but I think it will be ok till you can get them all their...

Re: How do you guys manage food for your Beardies?

Well I do make them chase it with tongs because I agree. I have recently switched to them and still have not found a cheap source but I found that frozen feeders go very well with my animal.

Re: new Bearded dragons.

Nice dragons! But by the way you worded it it sounds like they are being housed together which I highly recommend not doing. They will be fine until one day and something will happen. About a year...

Re: How do you guys manage food for your Beardies?

Since I am not a fan of having roaches in my house or crickets (just because I would rather be playing with my animals than taking care of bugs) I choose to go with frozen roaches. Some places sell...

Re: here they are, my new beardies :)

That baby is small for it's age and skinny. I would say no to live plants just because plants need to stay fairly moist. Especially things that would be healthy for a beardie. This would raise the...

Re: here they are, my new beardies :)

That baby does not look healthy. I would get it to a vet ASAP based on the pictures in the other thread.

Re: Advice on material for display enclosure

I know you dont like the look of sealed plywood, I don't either, so what I used is finished plywood. If you use the furniture grade stuff and stain it it looks really nice and like a piece of...

Re: the beardies im getting on the 6th march

Also since BOTH babies had nipped tails that tells me that 1. they were not getting fed enough or 2. that they had way to many in a single enclosure. The biggest baby should be the dominant one and...

Re: the beardies im getting on the 6th march

I agree. From the first time you posted pictures I had my doubts but now that one "randomly" died I would highly recommend going elsewhere. This guy doesn't deserve your money. Since these animals...

Re: cant decide

500-800 might seem like a lot (because it is) but I think that if you put more in there is more you can get out of it.

Re: the beardies im getting on the 6th march

Bathing is not necessary but I prefer to because mine and I know a lot of other people's run through their new poop and I dont like my dragon with poop on her feet. And it is how she is used to...

Re: Breeding help

It is not good to breed different albinos together. All it does is muddy up the genes. Bubblegum albinos in my opinion should not be bred. There is no point. Furthermore it would be not a good thing...

Re: building a shelf?

You could also get 3 pieces of 1 inch pvc and 2 90 degree angle pieces. What you would do is put them together then put a piece of slate or tile on top. Then you have a hide, a shelf, and burrows.
