Re: different woma subspecies?

Hey derek, hope all is well in the snake room. In Australia do the localities show different color and/or size traits? Also, do you know of woma locals where their diet is highly reptile based like a...

Re: Resuced Hog island boa and a few questions

To grow a snake to its "capacity" is unhealthy. I do not agree with the notion that snakes need to be regimentally fed max sized prey items. All of the leading breeders in our hobby started realizing...

Re: Yellow on MBK

To the OP- i am not trying to insinuate that you have a "tainted animal, I think it will make a great pet. I love kingsnakes and they are fun to keep. Some locals even "crossbreed" (kind of hard to...

Re: Yellow on MBK

This is different. We know it is not a morph. Breeding it would be irresponsible. What is there to find out? Are you that curious as to what two localities make up this snake? Ok, lets say you are...

Re: Yellow on MBK

Yeah- looks like a cross to me as well. Definitely would guess desert king. I think breeding him is a horrible idea. What is the point? The fun with kings is their different localities and how each...

Re: different woma subspecies?

Hopefully shauny can weigh in since he lives there. It is my understanding that the aussies are fairly conscientious about the woma localities. There are differences between woma localities.

Re: Question: Blue eyed leucistic gopher

The only info I can find suggests the the BEL might be a result from crossbreeding Northern Pines bloodlines with Southern Pine lines

Snakes for rehoming (http://newyork.craigslist.org/fct/pet/5718995465.html)

I have not heard of it either. I am a little skeptical. I know there are BEL rat snakes.

Hey gopher people. I have the opportunity to pick up a male blue eyed leucistic gopher snake. I know nothing about gopher morphs. (Or royal python morphs- I know BELs were a staple of the royal...

Re: Decision dilemma

Also, milksnakes are generally more secretive than kings. I believe they are mostly nocturnal where as kings are diurnal.

Re: Decision dilemma

Do you use under tank heat or heat lamp? I believe heat lamps make snakes more active. My king is all over the place.

I know many people that have "correct" setups but have had problems with...

Re: Problem in our industry

Hey. Some good points. Sad but true. I actually think the problem is that the majority of keepers do not care or attempt to replicate their animal's natural environment. My opinion is not a popular...
