Re: need a litle help please

Boas are pretty simple, pretty much the same care as balls only I feel they have less problems balls have. The big thing though is their size. There's a ton of info out there on them and their care.

Re: hello i got a question

A 10 gallon is pretty small to begin with even for a baby; and especially on rats they do grow pretty quickly. As long as your not feeding her every other day or as much as she will take then...

Re: Help, my snake is being weird!

What is his setup like? Is he eating still? Have you used any chemicals or sprays near him? It sounds like something neurological. Check herpvetconnection.com to see if there are any other vets...

Re: Help blood blisters on my ball python

Can you describe his setup and husbandry? Remember we can give advice but in most cased its best to get a vet checkup.

Re: Breeders in maine or close by

Stress wise when packaged well and the animal is healthy I havent noticed much difference with corns when shipped vs the stresses of petstore living (they had to be shipped sometimes a couple times...

Re: Ball Python Colors?

The thing you have to consider is that no breeder or dealer is going to sell a $300+ snake as a normal, and no way is a petco going to sell something like that for a normal. There are still in such...

Re: Ball Python Colors?

Ball python morphs are expensive enough where if you dont know theyre normals. You'd know you got something when you get it.

Re: dremora is eating good now but i have a question!!

Small meals a little more often arnt bad especially for yoing still growing snakes. I would say its fine to feed that much untill shes big enough for small rats; theres a time where any extra food...

Re: Could my burm be constipated?

9 days isnt long at all, watch for a comming shed as they tend to hold it. Start worrying when they havent gone in a month or so and start acting strangely, a constipated snake wont act normal. If...

Re: Lost snake

Well as long as you know where its hiding, its just going to be a matter of getting it out and making sure it cant get back. You can try putting its hide, maybe some rodent scented substrate, and a...

Re: Unexpected eggs...

If theyre infertile they will be slimey and yellowish. Fertile eggs will be large, round, and white. Retained sperm is possible, or if they were placed together for cleaning or something. ...

Re: New Burm Owner Here

Its great you took them in, and really good you know your limits (too many people get these snakes without knowing or caring what exactly keeping an adult snake large enough to kill you means). Keep...

Re: please help

Is it wild caught? If it is then there is a very low chance of it eating for you and surviving in captivity and that the best place for it is back out in the wild.

Re: thank you very much again...comments below..

Buying in bulk for just one snake may not be really economical; you'll be stuck feeding her mice long past her outgrowing them just so you dont waste them, since you need to buy 100 at a time. Also...

Re: Hello Dolly!

One word of caution, I know its too late now but really important to remember for next time is quarentene. Especially if your going to place them together all new snakes need to be quarentened...

Re: well i have 11 eggs( what to do/expect

Yet they are still normals; the whole Okeete phase vs locality thing; very few people are actually into the true locale (and those into it would know exactly what they had, not needing to ask what it...

Re: well i have 11 eggs( what to do/expect

All okeetees are are selectivly bred normals for deep reds and oranges and thick borders.

Breeding mice for feeders for only a few snakes is a pain, you'll be spending more money and time with the...

Re: dremora acting scared of her food?! help please!

Pinks are often too small, some snakes wont even bother with them because of it. From what I've seen balls prefer meals with a little fur.

Re: well i have 11 eggs( what to do/expect

The eggs look fertile; its impossible to tell if the female is a cream but if you got her as one then thats probably it. The male is a normal.

Re: well i have 11 eggs( what to do/expect

Whats an okeetee pastel? Sounds like a fancy name for a nomal corn. Theyre really not hybrids, but integrades (emory rats were are very close subspecies of corns) and theyre not sterile, if they...

Re: dremora acting scared of her food?! help please!

When you next feed her in a week get a frozen mouse, thaw it and warm it up very warm. Do this at night, and place it next to her or even on top of her and leave her alone in the dark the rest of...

Re: Just wondering

They may, but if fed only them you'll get a sick snake. They get all their nurtriants from the entire animal, they need the innards, bones, and fur. Plus there's no telling what may be in them to...
