Ranitomeya

1.0.1 Ranitomeya imitator's "varaderos" and 1.0.1 R. Variabilis "highland". Here are some pics of them so far. The imitators are hiding right now so only got a pic of one.

Re: Ranitomeya

Nice, used to keep pdf's about five or six years ago until a heat wave and power outage and me not home killed them all I had bastimentos pumilio, azureus, orange and yellow galacts, blue, green, and ancon hill auratus, ventrimiculatus, leucs, and veraderos as well. Those veraderos were so much freaking money back then since they were new to the hobby. After that traumatic and costly loss my interests moved towards snakes and turtles, but maybe one day I'll enjoy keeping some more again. Good luck with them, they're very interesting to work with.

Re: Ranitomeya

Nick, that's horrible. How high did the temps get?

Re: Ranitomeya

The temps got over 105 F outside and I was on vacation and had someone frog sitting for me at the time. So I would imagine inside was probably around 100 F or so. I lost everything besides the azureus, one vent, and a yellow galact. I had red eyed tree frogs that survived it too, but I guess the other species were too sensitive, forgot to mention the mint terribilis were gone too It really sucked and I hope that one day down the road I'll have a more temperature controlled room for amphibians with much better insulation, since fiberglass insulation is the most counter productive thing ever invented haha. You have some awesome frogs nonetheless! I loved it when mine would call, even though with some species that could keep you up all night if they're in the hall or you have a tank in your room.

Re: Ranitomeya

Awesome. Love darts, will get some eventually when I'm not too lazy to learn about them. Are those ten gallon tanks with conversion kits? Very nice setups.

Re: Ranitomeya

Wow that really sucks. We had a heat wave just pass a couple months ago. Got about 100f on the house for a short period but luckily I have A/C

I have a/c too, it was just a huge power outage that made the a/c get shut off and my house became a microwave for my frogs.
