Possible mouth rot?

My KSB is having his first shed with me and I’ve tried not to handle him during it but today I noticed a weird look on his mouth. Any thoughts?

Re: Possible mouth rot?

Looks more like substrate stuck on his mouth, in which case I wouldn't worry about it. If you're sure it's not, then perhaps a more close up picture would help?

Re: Possible mouth rot?

Photo is too hard to see. If it's substrate it will fall off or you can use a wet qtip to gently wipe it away.
