Snakes died - advice requested

I hadn't seen my Valley garter for a while and went searching for him. I found him under something about 10 days ago, already partially dessicated and decomposing. I pulled him out and there was a...

Re: Baby corn snake soaking?

Yeah, I had a similar problem with my kingsnake using aspen substrate. I ended up switching to a bioactive setup. I used some Eco Earth or maybe Reptisoil mixed with Forest Floor for the substrate. I...

Re: New garter snakes

Thanks, I never would have purchased the Plains garter if I hadn't seen it in person, but he's so pretty.

We've got enclosures on top of dressers and bookcases, so at least there is a bit doubling up of utility going on.

Re: Rebuilding Corn snake´s enclosure

Thanks, MnGuy. I'd love to eventually have a paludarium for some garter snakes - do you work with garters? Is that something they'd like.

Oh by the way, vitejte lindau. Prave jsem videl ze jste z...

Re: Rebuilding Corn snake´s enclosure

I made one from my kingsnake. Here it is a while back:

Re: Isopods in Bioactive Tank

Yeah, I have 5 species at home - I've found them to be fun and see all the offspring. All mine have been pretty affordable like in the $1-2 range per isopod for the "expensive" ones. It's crazy when...

Isopods in Bioactive Tank

I initially I only put 5 A. vulgare "Punta Cana" in my vivarium for my kingsnake. At one point I wasn't sure if any had survived. Clearly, they had. They do a great job of cleaning up the snake...

Welcome to the forum! I'm no expert - can't really give you a guess as to what type of snake you have.

Re: Thinking about buying my first snake

So, I've heard that the chlorine in the water isn't good for snakes - is this just an abundance of caution?

Re: Thinking about breeding tangerine Honduran milksnake

Don't know anything about breeding, but I do know you need to make 5 posts before being able to post a picture. I believe there is a FAQ that describes how to post pictures.
